What is YWAM Shanti?

YWAM Shanti is a division of Youth With A Mission (YWAM) based in Hong Kong. YWAM is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. We unite in a common purpose to Know God and to make Him Known.

Back when we began in 1960, our main focus was to get youth involved in missions. Today, we still focus on youth, and we also involve people aged 5 to 90. We currently work in more than 1,100 locations in over 180 countries, with a staff of over 18,000.

YWAM Shanti was founded in Hong Kong in 2006 and reaches refugees, immigrants, and ethnic minorities in the region. Despite Hong Kong's tremendous wealth, many of its residents live in deep poverty. We consider it part of our mission to reach these people. We put this mission into practice by helping meet people's physical needs while sharing the Word of God to meet their spiritual needs.

Want to get involved in YWAM Shanti? We have opportunities in Children's, Youth, Family, Neighbour's, Refugee, and Immigrant ministry. In addition, we operate a Discipleship Training School that will help you grow in intimacy with God and equip you to share the Gospel with the nations. We are always looking for staff, interns, and volunteers.
